Vortragsreise nach Südafrika

Prof. Dr. Heike Omerzu befindet sich vom 7.-20. August 2007 auf Einladung der University of South Africa (Pretoria) auf einer Vortragsreise in Südafrika. Sie wird zunächst im Rahmen des Kolloquiums des "Redescribing Graeco-Roman Antiquity Research Project", das vom 9.-12. August 2007 in Keurbooms (Southern Cape) tagt und dem Thema "Body, Person and Religious Discourse in Graeco-Roman Antiquity" gewidmet ist, einen Vortrag halten zum Thema: "The Portrayal of Paul’s outer appearance in the Acts of Paul and Thecla: Historically Accurate, Derogatory or Flattering? The Correspondence of Body and Personality in Ancient Literature".
Im Anschluss nimmt sie an der Tagung "Impereality. Theorizing Empire" teil, die vom 16.-18. August 2007 an der University of South Africa (Pretoria) veranstaltet wird. Prof. Omerzu wird dort über das Thema "Apocalyptic Impereality: Reality and Empire in the Book of Revelation" referieren.
